ATLANTA DIVORCE AND
FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY
Rachel Simpson
Shockley
the journey forward.
Credentials
Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
Background
Rachel brings over twenty years of experience to all areas of domestic practice including divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, equitable division of marital assets and debts, legitimation, paternity, and prenuptial/postnuptial agreements. Rachel manages complex family law litigation, which often requires the coordination of experts in business valuation, asset tracing, separate property interests, dissipation of marital assets, child custody, alcohol and drug evaluation, co-parenting, and computer forensics. Divorce litigation often requires a team of support for the client, and Rachel takes pride in building your team and ensuring it operates smoothly.
A 2002 honors graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, Rachel’s early practice was with the large regional law firm of Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough, LLP, where she was a member of the commercial and business litigation team, but also had the unique opportunity to work for a partner who had developed a niche practice in high asset family law matters. Once she was introduced to domestic practice, it became clear that her calling was to serve individual clients in more personal matters. In 2007, Rachel followed that calling and joined one of the leading family law practices in Atlanta. Since that time, she has focused her practice entirely on family law, where she has experienced great personal and professional satisfaction supporting clients through what will often be the most trying journey and transition of their lives. Rachel works with each individual person to craft a path forward that suits their specific needs. No two cases are alike, because no two people are alike. But in each and every case, Rachel works tirelessly to advance her clients’ articulated goals and to position them for success – emotionally and financially – in their next phase of life.
